Sculpt January day 2: Mask. I can already see me not making these everyday. I'm running into roadblocks that are slowing my production down. UPDATE: Sculpt January is a bust.
This was fun cause I didn't really know what to do for "mask". I thought it meant the concept of hiding something. But then I saw some other people's sculpts and they made literal masks, so that was much easier. But still I needed to find a mask to create. I could try to make one up, but I wanted the challenge of trying to shoot for something specific.
Boom, Black Panther! This is a pretty cool mask. I hoped that I could at least get close.
My process of creating the eyes is one way of doing this. But I very quickly realized that there is totally a better/more correct way to doing these. But since I'm still a noob and still don't know my tools very well I continued.
Eventhough I should've used a better technique to just 'knockout' the eye holes I did have fun shaping them up.
Moving on to the rest of the mask, the mouth area.
I had a good time with this one. Thanks for watching!
